Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation proudly hosted its Strong Elders, Strong Community event on 28 October 2026, bringing together Elders, community members, service providers and partner organisations for a meaningful day of connection, learning, wellbeing and community spirit.
Delivered in partnership with the City of Kwinana, the event focused on strengthening community networks, increasing awareness of available services and safety supports, and creating opportunities for Elders and community members to connect in a welcoming and culturally safe environment.
The event welcomed a diverse range of organisations and service providers who shared valuable information, resources and support services available to Elders and the wider community. Attendees had the opportunity to meet service providers face-to-face, ask questions, access information and build relationships that contribute to stronger community connections and wellbeing.
The program featured informative sessions, including a community safety awareness presentation, alongside interactive activities such as chair yoga and a no-bake cooking demonstration. These activities encouraged participation, social connection, healthy living and opportunities for attendees to learn something new.
