Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation (MKAC) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS), marking an important step forward for Aboriginal health across the Perth metropolitan region.
The agreement was formally signed on Friday 20 February by EMHS Acting Chief Executive Philip Aylward and MKAC Chairperson Marianne Headland Mackay.
This partnership establishes a stronger framework for collaboration within the EMHS catchment area, supporting improved health outcomes for Aboriginal people and their families through coordinated services and shared initiatives.
EMHS delivers a range of health services across the region, including Aboriginal community health programs and tertiary hospital services that are widely accessed by Aboriginal communities.
At MKAC, we are proud to provide a One Stop Shop model of care, supporting the diverse needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Western Australia. Our integrated services allow community members to access health, wellbeing, prevention, treatment, and aftercare services in one location, ensuring care is delivered in a culturally safe, respectful, and community-led environment.
This partnership represents a shared commitment to strengthening Aboriginal health services and improving access to culturally appropriate care.
