Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation marked a significant milestone on Friday 24 April with the official unveiling of its new One Stop Shop in Parmelia by WA Premier Roger Cook.

The event was also attended by the Hon Madeleine King MP, reflecting strong support for this important initiative to improve access to integrated, culturally appropriate services for our community.

The One Stop Shop has long been part of the vision of the MKAC Board and Founders, and it is a proud achievement to see that vision realised. This milestone reflects the leadership, commitment and collective efforts of the Moorditj Koort team, past and present, in driving the organisation’s growth and impact.

We also acknowledge and thank former CEOs Jonathan Ford and Neil O’Donnell, whose contributions helped pave the way for this achievement.

During the visit, staff and community members had the opportunity to speak directly with the Premier and Minister King about the challenges facing our community, as well as future opportunities to strengthen service delivery.

Working alongside community, Elders, Aboriginal organisations, health services, government stakeholders and funders, MKAC will continue to strengthen and expand access to primary health care and culturally appropriate support across the Perth South Metro region.

This work continues with the upcoming opening of the MKAC Armadale Clinic on 12 May, further supporting access to culturally appropriate primary health care in the region. Keep an eye on our social media and other MKAC updates for more information.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this important moment and contributed to making the day a success.

This milestone positions Moorditj Koort to continue strengthening outcomes for Aboriginal people and families through a coordinated, community-focused approach.
