Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation (MKAC) and Holyoake have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), strengthening their shared commitment to improving health, wellbeing and social outcomes for Aboriginal people across Boorloo (Perth) and the Wheatbelt.

The partnership will strengthen referral pathways, improve coordination of support for people with complex needs, build workforce capability, and create opportunities for collaboration that deliver culturally safe, community-led services.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation, Danielle McGuire, said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and working together to improve outcomes.

"This partnership formalises a relationship built on mutual respect and a shared vision of delivering culturally secure, holistic care for Aboriginal people and communities," Ms McGuire said.

"By working together, we can strengthen support pathways, share knowledge and ensure Aboriginal people receive the right care at the right time."

Holyoake Chief Executive Officer Ben Smith said the partnership aligns with the organisation's commitment to reconciliation and culturally responsive practice.

"Working together allows us to create stronger connections between services and improve the support available for Aboriginal people, families and communities," Mr Smith said.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework over the next two years, supporting both organisations to work together to enhance health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
