Building Stronger, Culturally Safe Services in Katanning

Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation was proud to host a Culturally Safe and Trauma Informed Workshop in Katanning over two impactful days from Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26 February.

The workshop was delivered by Mark Bateman and David Catherwood, who shared valuable knowledge, practical tools, and real-world approaches to better support individuals, families, and communities experiencing challenging circumstances.

Across the two days, participants strengthened their understanding of trauma-informed practice and cultural safety, focusing on how services can be delivered with greater awareness, respect, and care.

At Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation, we remain committed to ensuring our services are community-led, culturally safe, and grounded in empathy, so that every person accessing support feels respected, understood, and supported on their journey to wellbeing.
