On Tuesday 12 May, Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation proudly celebrated the opening of our new Armadale office with a successful Community Open Day.
This event marked an important milestone for the organisation and reinforced our commitment to delivering culturally safe, holistic, and accessible healthcare supports for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as the wider Armadale community.
The day brought together community members, Elders, stakeholders, partner organisations, and staff to acknowledge and celebrate this significant new chapter for Moorditj Koort. We were pleased to see strong community engagement and meaningful connections formed throughout the event.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mort and Vivienne Hansen for delivering a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, setting a respectful and culturally grounded tone for the day.
We also acknowledge and thank our stall holders and community partners, including Juniper, Workskill Australia, Neami National, Palmerston, local Rotary Club volunteers, and Barista on Wheels, for their valuable contributions to the event’s success.
Finally, we recognise the dedication of our staff in planning and supporting the Open Day. Your teamwork and commitment ensured a welcoming, well-organised, and positive experience for all who attended.
