Mark Bateman is MKAC's Cultural Engagement and Partnerships Manager and leads the organisation's work in cultural capability, stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
A proud Noongar man who grew up in the Wheatbelt, Mark brings lived experience, cultural knowledge and strong community connections to his role. Over many years he has delivered cultural awareness and cultural capability training across health, education, government, corporate and community sectors.
Mark now plays a key role in the development and delivery of Moorditj Kaartdijin Bidi, helping organisations strengthen cultural safety and build more effective partnerships with Aboriginal Communities and organisations.
Working closely with Aboriginal Communities, government agencies, health services, funders and partner organisations, Mark supports initiatives that strengthen relationships, improve service integration and contribute to better outcomes for Aboriginal people and Communities.
